In
a match dominated by not one but two teams bowlers. First Malton
Sports Club completely destroyed the Halton Stars high scoring
batting line-up, then HSCC-A Ghufran and Bilal shattered Malton
Batting order and bowl to the script to help HSCC-A with their
best win.
Burlington, Ontario:
Halton Stars-A won the toss and choose to bat first on
the wet pitch and cloudy day and it back fired as
inspired Malton Sports Club Bowlers attacked the HSCC-A
batting order right from the 1st ball and
successfully manage to get Naveed Sehrai caught at point
on the last ball of the first over. Down fall of the
Batting order continued as Khalid Gilani, Bilal Khan and
Imran ul Haq were back to pavilion with only 11 runs on
the board.
Only
Ghufran Ali and Danish Bashir were able to sustain the
excellent bowling spell of the Malton Sports Bowlers and
mange to get the score to respectable 91 runs. Fayaz
Patel, took 4 wickets for 28 runs, Shohail Kazi 2
wickets for 13 runs and Varish Shaikh 2 wickets for 8
runs.
Halton Stars determined attacking bowlers Naveed and Ali
Abbas aggressively attack the Malton opening batting
order and received complete team effort from the highly
motivated team effort to stop singles. Bilal replace Ali
and quickly broke the opening partner ship in his first
over. Then spin magician Ghufran Ali was brought in
after 15 over and wicket started to fall on regular
interval as Bilal continue to support Ghufran by taking
two more wicket in his second spell.
The
task was not over yet as Malton needed 9 runs to win
with 2 wicket in hand, at this dramatic time, Nadeem
Mahmood took a diving catch on Ghufran ball and then Ali
Abbas was brought in and he bowled the last batsman on
the 1st ball of his second spell to guide
Halton Stars to a victory. Bilal took four wickets for
18 runs and Ghufran took three wickets for 13 runs, Sher
Khan and Ali Abbas chip in with one wicket each.
It
was a total team effort that rescued the Halton Stars to
win in a bowlers dominated low scoring match.
